Psychological Tests page 2

Psychological tests aren’t magic and are only as accurate as the test responses. They assess and evaluate information that you give to the examiner, which is why the formal name of psychological testing is psychological assessment. You give this information either in the form of answers to interview questions or as answers on paper—or on a computer—to specific questions. Ultimately, most of a tests accuracy depends on how honestly and seriously the person answers the test questions. Even then some of us subconsciously desire a specific result from the test and so will attempt to sway the result by the answers given.
